Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: a 25th Army Corps situation report, for August 6; of the 2nd SS Panzer Division's intentions, for August 6; and the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) West's situation report, including that German casualties in Normandy between June 6 and July 16 were 100,000 men, from July 18.
