Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: on the Granville situation, as at July 30; three reports on a battle in the Caumont sector, from July 30; a German Air Force (GAF) situation report, for July 30; the 3rd Air Fleet's morning report, for July 30; and that the 2nd and 116th Panzer Divisions have been subordinated to the 47th Panzer Corps, on July 30; and on Germany: that the GAF issues a description to air defences of its new Me163B jet fighter, on July 26.
