A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: the German Air Force (GAF) report considerable losses in an Allied raid on Pisa airfield, on September 24; of GAF aircraft losses at Pisa, on September 24; the German signals intelligence service reports an Allied landing west of Naples, on September 24; and of German interest in the art treasures of the Palazzo Venezia, on September 24; on South-east Europe: of German shipping uncertainties in the Adriatic, on September 23; on the Southern Russian Front: of GAF operations, on September 24; from the German Legation in Bangkok, noting the Siamese lack of confidence in Japan, on September 19; from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin to all posts, on propaganda to counter the defection of Italy, on September 22; and on Germany: a warning that a German officer is listening to the conversations of new PoWs on behalf of the British, on September 23.
