Suppression of National-Socialist Para-Military Organisations Note by the Secretary (Prepared by C.C.M.S.(G)

1 Sep 1945

JIC (CCG)45/4 ANNEXE Danger of Para-military Organisations 1. The National Socialist para-military organisations, like the German armed forces, have been abolished by the Allied Military Government and their institutions and equipment broken up. But as with the armed forces, so with the para-military organisations we have to reckon with the survival both of their members and of their tradition. These we consider dangerous for the following reasons: (a) Para-military organisations were instruments by which the Nazi Party Indoctrinated Germany with its ideas.
