S.O.E. - Polish Wireless Communications. Report by J.I.C.

1 Jan 1944

There is also a statement in paragraph 12 to the effect that high speed operation is a Polish invention. This is not the case, although the system used by Poland is a special adaptation for clandestine communications. 3. It therefore appears that the Polish Minister of the Interior, although he left the impression that he was reduced to one circuit, has, in fact, no less than four potential circuits for communication with Warsaw. It is true that none of these include high speed sets, which are preferable on grounds of security from direction finding, but this does not alter the fact that his statements were definitely misleading.
