APPENDIX A ALLIED FORCE HEADQUARTERS Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff G-2 A.P.D.O. 1. 29th October, 1942. Dear General Eisenhower has asked me to write and say how grateful he is for the work that the C.I.U. and A.P.I.S. have done for the Allied Force. He realises that we have made heavy demands on you at short notice; these have always been punctually met at considerable strain to the personnel. The high quality of the photos, mosaics, photo maps and models have greatly helped our planning, and will be no mean contribution to any success which the operation may achieve.
