There is one wider consideration which I do not like to leave unnoticed but the importance of which you can assess better than I. 2. It is that, on the assumption that other chrome supplies (Yugoslavia, Greece etc.) are becoming increasingly inadequate, Germans may be prompted to invade this country merely in order to secure chrome supplies.
