ANNEX B. Prepared by the Air Ministry to serve as a basis for a reply to Chiefs of Staff; Para.3. (a) In this major operation the Germans would attempt to capture initially the aerodromes of:WICK EVANTON LOSSIEMOUTH KINLOSS DYCE INVERNESS EDZELL MONTROSE PERTH LEUCHARS and the Shetland and Orkney aerodromes of:SKEABRAE HATSTON KIRKWALL SUMBURGH SOLLUM VOE BALTA SOUND including the small landing grounds at:WHITEFIELD DUNING STRACADHRO BALMAIN BRACKLA ELGIN ROSE VALLEY For this they would have at their dispoasl: 500 Junkers 52 aircraft each capable of carrying 10 men and equipment.
