MAJOR-GENERAL WHITELEY said that instructions to agents, which he had seen, had contained no indication as to the date of OVERLORD. THE CHAIRMAN asked if there was anything the Sub-Committee could do to help S.E.A.E.F. with the security arrangements for OVERLORD. MAJOR-GENERAL WHITELEY said that he was reasonably satisfied with present arrangements. (b) J.I.C. Appreciations THE CHAIRMAN referred to two J.I.C. appreciations just completed which concerned S.H.A.E.F., and asked what further assistance of this kind could be given.
