(ii) To instruct the Secretary to revise the draft report on the above lines and to forward it over their signatures to the Chiefs of Staff. (iii) To invite the War Office to proceed with the selection of suitable Officers to visit and report on British communities abroad, and make arrangements for their subsequent despatch. (iv) To invite the Foreign Office to draft instructions for these Officers for early submission to the Sub-Committee. (v) To recommend that these instructions should bear the signature of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and that a summary of them should be forwarded to His Majesty's representative abroad in each case, before the departure of the Visiting Officers.
