ANNEX -3I "From War Office To Alabaster, Iceland. Your 038 of 1 June. Following from Joint Intelligence Committee. An Inter-Service body is in existence for special purpose of giving warning of enemy preparations for invasion of United Kingdom. Functions new extended to Iceland and Faroes. It is hoped by this means to give you some warning but destination of enemy forces if directed against Iceland or Faroes whether sea-borne or air-borne may of course not be apparent until they have passed Sh.
