THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a draft report on Fifth Column activities in the United Kingdom (Paper No. J.I.C. (40) 47 (Draft)). In discussion, it was mentioned that the archives of the German Travel Bureau and Chamber of Commerce may contain information of German pre-war preparations which might have a bearing on this questionl This will be taken up by M.I.5 and a representative of the Ministry of Economic Warfare.
