by the Political Intelligence Department of the Foreign Office, and by the Chiefs of Staff Committee, covered all the information which was included in the Sub-Committee's weekly Commentary with the exception of certain items of Economic Intelligence. These items could, however, always be included in the daily Secret Situation Reports. MR. CAVENDISH-BENTINCK suggested that, if advanced copies of the weekly summaries issued by the Political Intelligence Department of the Foreign Office were made available to the Sub-Committee in draft form, it might be possible to arrange for relevant items of military or economic information to be included in these summaries.
