APPENDIX. Attacks on Fuel Oil Tanks in Spain. Date of Attack. Target. Mode of Attack Results. Report received from 1) 22nd August, 1936. 4 large (7000 ton) heavy fuel tanks and 9 smaller (2200 ton) spirit tanks at Malaga. 3 low-flying aircraft, dropping light explosive and one incendiary bomb (weight not known). 2 large and 5 smaller tanks destroyed by fire. Admiralty. (Supplemented by information from Petroleum Dept. of the Oil Board). 26th August, 1936. Oil tanks at Seville and Granada. Tanks set alight.
