TOP SECRET MINUTES of the First Meeting of a Working Party to examine the Future of the Intelligence Division of the Control Commission for Germany, held in Room 170, Foreign Office (King Charles Street) on WEDNESDAY, 2nd JUNE, 1949 AT 11.00 a.m. FORMATION OF THE WORKING PARTY MR. SEAL explained the background to the setting up of the working party as follows. On the 24th April, 1949, Sir Ivone Kirkpatrick had a meeting with General Sir Brian Robertson to consider the future organisation of the Control Commission for Germany in the light of the agreement to establish the High Commission.
