Dear Waugh, In 1947 there was a correspondence between Major Roberts of your office and McCarthy of this department about the security aspect of the question of whether or no to reveal to the Greek Government the names of Greeks who claimed to have worked with the British authorities during the war (your reference MI 1/8011/9/19). The question has now arisen again in a new form, since the Embassy in Athens have reported that the Greek Government are considering passing a law providing "moral rewards" for members of the resistance who worked with the National Bands (i.e.
