COPY C/1566 Personal and Confidential London 5th April, 1949 Chairman, J.I.C. I feel I should not allow to pass without comment certain parts of R.V. Jones' letter dated 7th March, 1949 (Reference J.I.C./497/49) to Sir Henry Tizard. He implies that there is a chance of misunderstanding development between the collectors and collators of scientific Intelligence and that this might largely be due to the over-stressing of security on the part of my scientific section. I would be the first to agree that there must be a team approach to scientific Intelligence problems by collators and those responsible for handling sources, including my own.
