MI 1/BM/8518/16 TOP SECRET PRODUCTION OF INTELLIGENCE ORGANISATION CHART FOR A SUPREME HEADQUARTERS 1. An Inter-Service Working Party was set up vide JIC(48) 134th Meeting and its object is to consider the production of a Chart setting out the Intelligence organisation required for a Supreme Commander in War. The War Office was invited to sponsor the work on behalf of the Joint Intelligence Committee. 2. Charts of the Intelligence organisations employed by Supreme Commanders in the last war were prepared by the war Office.
