Intelligence on Atomic Energy

10 Oct 1945

ANNEX II BRIEF FOR DISCUSSION BETWEEN SIR JOHN ANDERSON AND THE CHAIRMAN, J.I.C. 1. The Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee understand that it is proposed to set up a Combined Anglo-American Intelligence Organisation fully integrated on both sides of the Atlantic in London and Washington, and that this organisation is to report to you yourself in this country and to General Groves in the U.S.A. It would appear that while the present proposal is that copies of intelligence material from all British sources should now be sent to this Combined Organisation, as well as to the normal intelligence organisations, intelligence from American sources will only be available to the Combined Organisation.
