SECRET GUARD (d) There were certain U.S. Government regulations which restricted the freedom of U.S. Departments to collaborate with foreign countries. (e) If they gave preferential treatment to the U.K., the other N.A.T.O. nations would be jealous. REAR ADMIRAL BUZZARD then said that after their discussion it was clear to him that the Americans felt there was no need to collaborate with us on intelligence matters and they were not prepared, therefore, to give us preferential treatment over the other N.A.T.O.
