TOP SECRET Burma It now seemed clear that the recent diversion of Burmese forces to contain the Chinese rationalist troops on the Sino-Burmese frontier had enabled the Burmese Communists to effect a disquietening concentration of their forces. As supplies seemed to be reaching them from China in a steady and probably increasing trickle the situation in Burma was becoming ever more dangerous. MIDDLE EAST MR. REILLY informed the Committee of the latest developments in the situation in Persia and Egypt, referring to current Foreign Office telegrams, copies of which would be circulated to Departments concerned.
