SECRET AIR COMMODORE CONSTANTINE said that the Air Ministry were anxious for the appointment to be filled from the Royal Air Force, in view of current Soviet and Satellite air force and air-field developments. If the Committee agreed to the appointment being filled from the Royal Air Force, he suggested that application should be made for a visa for a Wing Commander who would be appointed Air Attache, since it would be inappropriate to call him an Assistant if, in fact, there was no Air Attache to assist.
