SECRET Official Secrets Acts. The Treasury Solicitor was thereupon instructed by the Director of Public Prosecutions to see the publishers' solicitors, and if the publishers agreed to hand back all the material in their possession including the manuscript, and undertake not to publish the book, it was agreed that the Director would withdraw criminal proceedings. The publishers in due course handed over all the documents in their possession, including both copies of the script, and pulls of the blocks, and gave an undertaking not to publish the manuscript.
