CONFIDENTIAL considered it advisable to appoint a full time member on the S.G. Intelligence Committee it was important that an officer of high calibre was selected for the job and it would most likely be necessary to select him from outside existing staffs. BRIGADIER JOHNSTONE said that the functions of the Intelligence organisation within B.J.S.M. were somewhat nebulous and he considered that it would serve a useful purpose if consultations were bad with officers employed in B.J.S.M. to get a first hand account of the working of the Intelligence organisation.
