TOP SECRET 2. EXCHANGE OF INTELLIGENCE WITH THE TURKS. (Previous reference J.I.C.(51)23rd Meeting, Minute 4 of 28th February, 1951. THE COMMITTEE had before them a Minute by the Secretary+ on the possibility of a Turkish request for assistance in obtaining intelligence on Soviet manoeuvres which might be held this summer. MR. ROSS recalled that the Committee had previously deferred consideration of this matter until the results of the Malta Conference were known. That Conference was now over without any results bearing on this particular question.
