2. POLICY AS TO THE DISPOSAL OF SECRET COMMUNISTS IN N.A.T.O. FORCES. THE COMMITTEE had before then a minute+ by the Secretary covering a minute from the Air Ministry in which guidance was sought from the Committee on the instructions which should be given to the British Air Attache in Brussels in connection with the case of three Belgian officers described as Communists or Communist sympathisers. After discussing the matter with the Security Service and M.I.6 the Air Ministry had drafted a letter to the British Air Attache in Brussels containing instructions on the advice which he should offer to the Belgian Air Ministry in connection with the officers referred to above.
