TOP SECRET COLONEL WILLIAMS said that the War Office were including in instructions to Military Attaches that they should remain at their posts as long as required by the Heads of Mission and that evacuation of Posts should take place only on instructions from the Heads of Mission and not from the War Office. After further discussion, THE COMMITTEE:Endorsed the Foreign Office views as expressed by Mr. Carey-Foster and invited the Service Departments to take them into account in preparing instructions for Service Attaches.
