SECRET MR. LIDDELL said that the Security Service considered that there ought to be a fresh review of the background and associations of a number of aliens and recently naturalised British subjects employed on defence work. If such a review were to be carried out it should be concentrated, at least in the first instance, on those employed in fields which were of the greatest importance. Seven suggested fields were set out in the minute by the Security Service but he would welcome the guidance of the Committee in the final selection of these fields of activity.
