3. THE VULNERABILITY OF THE UNITED TOP SECRET KINGDOM TO A KNOCK-OUT BLOW BY THE SOVIET UNION. (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(50) 90th Meeting, Minute 4) THE COMMITTEE had before them a minute+ by the Secretary covering a report by the Working Party set up to assess from the Soviet point of view, the target systems in the United Kingdom offering the most favourable chances of a knock-out blow year by year. In discussion, the Committee expressed their appreciation of the hard work put in by the Working Party in producing a most valuable report.
