On the other hand the Security Service could assure the Committee that the Stationery Office appeared to be fully alive to their security responsibilities. They had recently discussed with the Security Service the inclusion of a clause in their contracts with private firms to the effect that a Government Department would be in a position to object to the employment of any person against whom there was an adverse security report.
