CAB 159/8 JIC (50) 87th Mtg, item 1 CONFIDENTIAL (2) Instructed the Secretary to obtain the approval of the Ministry of Defence to Mr. R. Davis being a member of the inspectorate. (3) Agreed that, subject to (2) above, the inspectorate should consist of Mr. J.L. Irvine, Security Service, Mr. R. Davis and the Security Officer of the Ministry or Department being inspected. (4) Invited the Secretary, Inter-Departmental Committee on Security, to obtain the approval of the civil Departments concerned, other than those represented on the Joint intelligence Committee, to the proposed inspection.
