CONFIDENTIAL In discussion, there was general agreement with the suggestion by Mr. Turney. It was further agreed that the Defence Research Policy Committee should be invited to forward the Working Party's report to the Joint Intelligence Committee for comment before passing it to the Minister of Defence, as the matter was of direct concern to the Joint Intelligence Committee from the point of view of security intelligence. THE COMMITTEE:- (1) Instructed the Secretary to invite the Defence Research Policy Committee to forward the report by the Working Party set up by them to the Joint Intelligence Committee for comment before passing it to the Minister of Defence. (2) Agreed to defer consideration of the letters from Mr. Hosie and Mr. Verry until the report by the Working Party set up by the Defence Research Policy Committee had been received. 2.
