2. PHOTOGRAPHIC INTELLIGENCE TOP SECRET REQUIREMENTS IN TURKEY (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(49) 100th Meeting, Minute 3). THE COMMITTEE had before them a minute+ by the Secretary covering a minute from the Foreign Office to which was attached a telegramfrom His Majesty's Ambassador, Ankara, reporting that the Turkish General Staff had asked for further information before a decision could be given on the request for intelligence reconnaissance flights over Turkey. MR. BRAIN said that although this was principally a matter for the Foreign Office and Air Ministry to deal with, he had arranged for the telegram to be circulated in order that the Committee could be made aware of developments.
