In discussion it was generally agreed that the activities of the Russian missions should be watched and that it was most desirable that their numbers should be reduced proportionately to the strength of our representatives in the Russian zone. THE COMMITTEE:(a) Instructed the Secretary to draw the attention of the Joint Intelligence Committee, (Germany), to the reported activities of the Russian missions and invited them to make a particular study of the methods of work of these missions. (b) Took note that the Foreign Office were continuing to press for a reduction in the numbers of Russian and Satellite missions in the British zone of Germany.
