BRIGADIER BOUCHER circulated an amendment to the War rice proposals concerning the assumptions on which the studies by the Joint Intelligence Committee (Far East) were being based. THE COMMITTEE:(a) Agreed to discuss further the point at 'X' above, and instructed the Secretary in consultation with the Foreign Office to arrange accordingly. (b) Approved the suggested comment by the War Office, including the amendment proposed in discussion, on the assumptions that were being made by the Joint Intelligence Committee (Far East) for certain studies which they were undertaking, and instructed the Secretary to inform J.I.C.
