TOP SECRET 5. In view of the fact that the Anglo-American planning talks referred to above for which purpose this paper was being written, have now taken place and as the Joint Planning Staff have no need for the final appreciation, the approval of the Chiefs of Staff is sought for the withdrawal of the paper≠. Recommendation 6. We recommend that the Chiefs of Staff approve this report and authorise the withdrawal of the Joint Intelligence Committee's paper≠ "Implications of Certain Aspects of United States Strategy for a War in 1951".
