A paper JPS(48)-12(Final) giving the Joint Planning Staff's recommendations as to what beach rcconnaissances should be undertaken in the Middle East and what should be the relative priority of these tasks was forwarded to JIC(ME) on 17th March, 1948. 2. On 8th April 1948 in view of paragraph 1 of COS(ME)215, JIC (ME) asked JPS(ME) to produce a revised list of beach reconnaissance tasks placed in priority according to their relative strategic importance.
