Anti-British Subversive Activities - Middle East

1 Jan 1947

ANNEX BRITISH PUBLICITY IN THE MIDDLE EAST In the last six months much has been done to improve and extend the machinery of publicity in the Middle East. In particular, steps have been taken to enlist the co-operation of the large British companies in giving publicity to our efforts to improve labour conditions. Thus the Anglo-Iranian Oil Co. is publishing a newspaper in the oilfields and has organised night classes for Persians, Anglo-Persian football matches, the display of British posters etc.
