Repercussions in outside Areas. (h) There would be strongly anti-Dutch reactions, leading perhaps to strikes and boycotts of Dutch ships and aircraft, not only in South East Asia but in India, Burma, Ceylon, Australia and probably in the Arab states of the Middle East. (j) In South East Asia these reactions are likely to be directed also against imperialist Powers, and in particular against Great Britain on the grounds of the assistance given by us to the Dutch forces in Java and Sumatra.
