Role of the Colonies in War

ANNEX. Introduction. We have taken the Colonial Empire to include territories mandated to the United Kingdom, but to exclude those territories which are at present administered by the Dominions and India. 2. For convenience we have grouped the Colonial territories under five main regional headings, namely:(i) The Mediterranean. (ii) The African Continent (iii) The Indian Ocean, including the Red Sea. (iv) South East Asia, Australasia and the Pacific. (v) The North and South Atlantic and the Americas.
