ANNEX PROCEDURE GOVERNING THE RELEASE OF INFORMATION FROM CAPTURED DOCUMENTS (i) Access to original material for persons, other than British and U.S. official historians, should not for the time being be permitted. (ii) No original documents or photo-stats of original documents should be released without an agreed decision by the Americans and ourselves. (iii) No translations of documents or reports and summaries of documents should be used for publication unless released by the responsible Ministry, the authority within each Service Ministry being the Director of Intelligence.
