Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Europe: of permission being sought from Doenitz for a submarine to take the Walloon SS Fuehrer from Oslo to Spain or Japan, on May 6; Naval Headlines, covering promulgation of the German surrender; from the Japanese ambassador in Bad Gastein, on the dangers to the staff and wives there, and a dilemma concerning what to do, on April 27; and from the German Legation in Lisbon, on strains between the Soviets and the West, on May 1.
