This file includes the following reports: Mr Bromley's summary; on Western Europe: the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) for the North-west's assessment of the Allied intentions in the vicinity of Bremen, the Weser and Trave Estuaries and Hamburg, on April 22; and that German forces finally overcome the Georgian mutineers on Texel Island, on April 21; on Southern Europe: the C-in-C South-west's assessment of the Allied intentions in Italy, on April 22; that the Ground Officer Commanding (GOC) the 1st Parachute Corps, fighting in Italy, requests 2,000 replacements for the casualties suffered since the start of the major battle; that the C-in-C for the South-east orders the 97th Corps to withdraw all forces of the 237th Division in Pola in order to save Fiume, on April 22; and that Hitler orders extra measures in Istria to save Fiume and clear the Italian-Croatian border country, with German forces to thrust westwards from Bihac to the coast at Senj, south of Fiume, on April 22.
