Description
A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: Mr Bromley's summary (see also 9031); on Western Europe: that the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) of the Netherlands had sufficient men in his fortress but insufficient arms, as at April 16; that German Air Force (GAF) Western Command orders increased anti-aircraft defences at Regensburg for the re-loading from rail to ship of war gas ammunition being cleared from a depot 12 miles south of Regensburg, on April 11; and on the re-loading of war gas ammunition at Schalding near Passau on April 18.
