Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: of a new chain of command and new areas of responsibility being introduced by the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) West in view of the rapidly changing situation and continuing Allied pressure towards Thuringia, on April 4; Army Group B reports on April 3 that further reinforcement of the eastern attacking front is impossible, and that the units are in defensive positions and under heavy attack; and of German Air Force (GAF) arrangements on April 5 for the supply by air of the 6th SS Mountain Division north-east of Frankfurt and of the 11th Panzer Division south of Gotha.
