Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: of orders from Jodl stressing that under no circumstances should the 2nd Parachute Corps be pressed back to the north-west, thus sealing off Holland Fortress, that Army Group H is to defend the Ruhr District along the line of the Lippe Canal, and that the Allies are to be prevented from crossing the Dortmund-Ems Canal south of the Lippe side Canal; and on Eastern Europe: of Army H Group North reporting an unbearable situation for the wounded, with 34,664 having been received and only 10,110 transported away, and that transports in Swinemuende harbour are awaiting escorts.
