Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: of orders for increased readiness for Allied air landings in the Ruhr-Westphalia region, on March 10; and of warnings concerning Allied air landings, on March 11; on East Europe: of 1400 wounded being on a steamship off Sassnitz, on March 4; and of an accumulation of wounded and refugees at Danzig, on March 6.
