Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: that a parachute regiment is to be employed to mop up Hatten and an area in northern Alsace, on January 12; and a German Air Force (GAF) Command for the West report indicates further shrinkage of the German main defence line, on January 12; from Aghnides in London, on the High Commissioner for Australia being reassured, on January 10; and he forecasts a Labour attack on the British government, on January 11; from the Japanese ambassador in Moscow, on the effect of Japan's rupture with Turkey, on January 4; and from the Japanese minister in Madrid, noting Allied press hostility to Spain, on January 8.
