Description

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: from the French delegate in Ankara, describing Romanian apprehension at Russian fortifications along the Black Sea coast, on December 20; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, on the Balkans situation, as at December 20; and from the Swiss Legation in Tokyo, on Japan's plight, on December 22.
