Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: of the 64th and 70th Infantry Divisions being smashed in a battle of the Scheldt Estuary, on November 22; a German Air Force (GAF) report on the ground situation, as of November 27; on the ground situation, as of November 26; and that Runstedt orders Army Group H to concentrate on the east Maas front, on November 22; on South-east Europe: of a Soviet bridgehead across the Danube north of Mohacs, on November 26; and on East Europe: that Hitler orders the development of fortresses in the east, based on experience in the west, on November 25.
